I am a professional designer and I need to be able to manage my fonts. I also get fonts which are switched off in Fontbook, which show up in Photoshop and which then are not available. Then I get fonts which don't show up at all. These fonts are fully functional even though I have switched them off in Fontbook. I have fonts which are most definitely switched off in Fontbook (ie greyed out with "off" next to them) and which still show up in the font menu in Photoshop.
